All the magnificence and grandeur of the old world was created before the financiers took over. Usury is their weapon. They have concentrated our great wealth. Only them and their allies have access to it. They can’t have the general population knowing what we would be capable of, or the things we could accomplish if we weren’t in debt slavery.
I moved to NYC in the 80s, just after all of this destruction, but as a punk rocker in the 70s I visited the city a lot. All this destruction happened not only in the Bronx, but in all the outer burroughs. I lived in one of these destroyed buildings in So. Williamsburg Brooklyn. My friend bought it for $1 – I shit you not! All he had to do was sign a promissory note that he’d refurbish it within 5 years. All of the former residents of these bombed out / fired out buildings were relocated into projects (the ugly, dangerous tall buildings in the photos), while everything was re-built. Today, So. Williamsburg is full of luxury high rise apts and expensive shops. Side note: what you were describing as brownstones – those brick buildings – aren’t brownstones. The difference is that brownstones have much bigger “stones” not bricks. They are older, much better insulated, and much more beautiful. The majority of brownstones are in Brooklyn (the site of the very first battles of the Revolutionary War – which is an entirely separate rabbit hole, but definitely worth looking into). Destroying the old world under the name urban renewal. They then brought in brutalist architecture. Now everything looks bland and sterile.
The similarities between the photos of “urban decay” and the photos of the “bombings” of tokyo, hiroshima, nagasaki, the SF “earthquake”, etc are quite obvious. This seems to indicate that all of these areas/regions are merely destroyed remnants from a previous civilization that hadn’t been cleaned up and repurposed, yet.

I grew up in the Bronx (Broncks) in the late 60s and 70s. I heard that it was a farm long ago. The architecture was stunning when I was very young. It’s very hilly and very old. The walls had huge bricks, there were bell towers and spires, gargoyle’s and archway’s. Lots of grand stairways connecting upper and lower neighborhoods. There are what look like court houses, some became banks. There were fountains and cobblestone everywhere. There are still many large parks. The highway was built straight through the borough, separating us all. Destruction followed what they called “white flight” and with that the grandure was lost. The landlords set everything ablaze and left rubble behind. It was truly magnificent once. Remnants remain if you know where to look.

They destroyed alot of New York after an intense blizzard in I think 1888. Mark Twain, a historical actor was there, and allegedly rode out the storm in a hotel lobby. Trains were allegedly stuck on the overhead tracks,and telegraph lines were down. It allegedly led to the subway system and buried wires.
They are doing this on a breathtaking scale right now, as we speak, to McKeesport and Duquesne, Pennsylvania. There are opportunities to stop it in many cites around the country, but especially in the American Rustbelt.
Another key. They made the Bronx a place you dare not go because of gangs. But maybe they put them there to guard stuff so people wouldn’t go there to explore the old world
