Fully- or mostly-vanished / too-little rubble at crash site —-
TWA 514
Senator Wellstone plane DEW takedown
Colgan 3407 that took out pretty outspoken 911 widower Bev Eckert who threatened Obama with pursuit of indie investigation. Landed on one house in neighborhood; rubble reduced to ash.
Jan 2025 Philadelphia small jet crash – hole too small, debris nonexistent, DEW hallmarks galore
Flight 553 Chicago 1972 that took out per Sherman Skolnick 11 persons related to Watergate.
There are many others, though having more obvious wreckage. It’s the planes that are ‘vanished’ or burned down into white ash that are so interesting from DEW involvement.
The Hale Boggs probable takedown and incineration that silenced opposition to Alaskan Oil Pipeline — On October 16, 1972, a small twin-engine plane (a Cessna 310, registration N1812H) departed Anchorage, Alaska en route to Juneau carrying House Majority Leader Hale Boggs, Alaska Representative Nick Begich, Begich’s aide Russell Brown, and pilot Don Jonz. A massive search-and-rescue operation was launched: the largest ever in U.S. history at the time. It involved about 40 military aircraft, around 50 civilian planes, covered a search grid of roughly 325,000 square miles, and entailed more than 3,600 flight hours across air and sea search efforts. Despite this, no wreckage, debris, or human remains were ever recovered. After 39 days the search was officially suspended. There is no publicly verifiable wreckage associated with flight N1812H. Over decades, hundreds of missing-aircraft cases from Alaska have eventually produced debris; this one has not.
